Second Year Into My PhD

It’s hard to believe I am in my second semester of my second year and we’re already four months into 2025. Time is flying! These past few months have been a whirlwind of learning, adapting, and growing, especially as I navigate the second year of my PhD. There’s been a lot of research (of course), but also a lot of unlearning, patience (so much patience!), and even mentoring others along the way. And you know what? I’m truly loving this phase.

Pursuing higher education has always been a dream of mine, and the PhD journey, with all its challenges, has been incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful for my supportive PI who believes in me, my wonderful Ghanaian community that keeps me connected to home, and, most importantly, my amazing family and loved ones who cheer me on every step of the way.

This post is a little pause to appreciate how far I’ve come and to document the moments that have made these months so special. Here’s to the journey ahead!
